Doc's Smokehouse in Edwardsville is a work of passion that originated as a pro BBQ circuit team, so you know the food is good. The owner got his start by watching his dad smoke meat in Tennessee.

The tiny BBQ restaurant is located in a strip mall and only has seating for a handful of customers at a time. Locals often plan to eat their meat feats elsewhere.

Using the same recipes as they have for the past 40 years, Doc's is one of the best BBQ restaurants in the St. Louis area. Illinoisans travel for miles to cure their cravings for this stuff.

Menu items include brisket, pulled pork, smoked sausage, smoked turkey and chicken, and St. Louis-style spare ribs. Incredible fixin's include mac and cheese, corn casserole, sweet potato fries, green beans, and more.
