The Aurora Sunken Gardens are situated within Phillips Park in northeast Illinois in a popular suburb of Chicago that is home to nearly 200,000 residents.
The garden is styled after those in England and includes 15 varieties of flowers totaling 15,000 flowers altogether. You'll be instantly transported to a new place when you visit here.
The garden also includes a three-tiered fountain and the Four Seasons statues, which stand at each corner of the garden. Shrubs, bushes, walkways, stairs, benches, and much more make this a tranquil place to spend time.
The gardens were designed in the 1930s by the son of a gardener for English nobility. It is hand-planted each fall with more than 10,000 tulips that bloom in the spring.
