And while each one of those places is uniquely beautiful, we happen to believe Starved Rock State Park outshines them all. You simply won’t find scenery like this anywhere else in the state.
The park is located just 100 miles southwest of Chicago, but you'll feel like you're on another planet.
Native Americans called it home from the 1500s to the 1700s, and French explorers Louis Jolliet and Father Jacques Marquette fell in love with the area in 1673.
