Countless Celebrities Have Loved This Iconic Illinois Diner Since It Opened
It’s not every day in Illinois that there’s a celebrity sighting. Usually, it’s because there’s an event or sports game happening, or because something is being filmed. Unlike places like Los Angeles or New York, not too many celebrities actually live in Illinois (though lots of cool people were born here!). However, if you know the right spots, you can probably spot someone noteworthy out and about. In fact, this diner could very well be the best restaurant to spot celebrities in Chicago, Illinois.
When celebrities come to Chicago, they have plenty of restaurants to choose from. But many find themselves gravitating toward Soulé Chicago, 3615 W Roosevelt Road, in the city's West Town neighborhood.
The soul food diner opened in 2017 and has since seen a steady stream of both local and celebrity traffic, who stop by for its delicious comfort classics.
The restaurant was inspired by the line "It was all a dream..." in Biggie Small’s famous song, "Juicy." And the catfish, collard greens, and red beans and rice with smoked turkey live up to their dreamy reputation.
The jumbo jerk chicken wings alone will make you fall in love with this place. It's easy to see why stars like Scottie Pippen, G Herbo, Lil Durk, and Lil Rel Howry have all come to dine here.
