Burger Shack is a tiny little food hut in a small Illinois town that straddles the line between the central and southern parts of the state. It is part of the community that is known for being home to many of the world's largest objects.
This tiny eatery is a stone's throw from the world's largest wind chime, the world's largest rocking chair, the world's largest mailbox, and the world's largest knitting needles and crochet hook.
There is not much seating available at this trailer-like restaurant that is only open for lunch five days each week. Located in a parking lot across from a church, it features a few covered benches, though most patrons choose to eat in their cars or take their goods to-go.
Burgers are obviously the most popular items at this hamburger hut. You can get them stacked up to four patties high in what is called the quad bypass burger. Triples, doubles, and singles with cheese and all the fixin's also delight and are known for being big and juicy.
Other menu items include BLTs, homestyle hamburgers, and chicken sandwiches. There's also something on the menu called an island burger that sounds interesting to try.
Sides include classics like fries and chips. Pop is also available. This budget-friendly hamburger hut is known for its fresh food that is always made to order.
