Take This Road To Nowhere In Illinois To Get Away From It All

Have you ever heard the term “Sunday drivers?” Those are the people who just drive for the sake of driving around, slowly, taking everything in. We’re usually in such a hurry to get to our destination that we forget to enjoy the journey. Today we are profiling a road that you can drive and really just sit back and take it all in. I’m talking about the Great River Road. Now, the Great River Road is a road that follows the Mississippi and runs through many states. It spans for 550 miles in Illinois.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now: https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/nominate/
