Bobby's Frozen Custard has been a southern Illinois favorite since 1990. This marvelous custard stand is all about old-fashioned ways of making its cold dairy treats and novelties.
On the hottest days, you can expect to find a line outside this fresh frozen custard stand. Locals don't mind waiting in line for the treats sold here though.
This popular spot uses a traditional technique of custard-making that ensures not too much air gets into the mix. Using a special recipe, it is all made by machine to ensure the best quality.
When it comes to toppings, you'll find everything from hot fudge, caramel, marshmallow, whipped cream, and peanut butter to sprinkles, M&Ms, pralines, cashews, salted pecans, cashews, and fruits.
There are also pre-designed sundaes, soda, floats, and vintage classics like the banana split and dreamsicle shake. You'll have to come back time and again to try them all.
Bobby’s Frozen Custard is open Sunday through Thursday between 11:30 a.m. and 10 p.m. as well as Friday and Saturday between 11:30 a.m. and 10:30 p.m., and you can get more details on its website or Facebook page.
