The One Of A Kind Festival You Won’t Find Anywhere But Illinois

Illinois is home to many great festivals but none compare to the most magical air balloon festival that takes place every summer. People come from all around to witness this most spectacular sight, which just might be one of the best in the whole state.

Bring the entire family for an afternoon of fun that lasts late into the night. Get the major details below:

For over 30 years, the best balloon festival in Illinois has been the Eyes To The Skies Festival.

Located in Lisle, it is one of the biggest festivals in Chicagoland.

It runs June 30 through July 2, 2017 and includes live music and a Fourth of July Parade.

More than 70,000 people attend each year to enjoy the carnival.

There are over 100 craft booths and food vendors, so you may need multiple days to see everything.

There are also many games and rides for the young at heart.

Of course, the most spectacular portion is the balloon launch.

Admission is $10 for adults, though some days and times are free for local residents and veterans/active military personnel. Children under age eight are always free.

If you want to go up in a balloon yourself, you can take a tethered ride for $20.

More than 300 Lisle residents volunteer each year to make this charitable event happen.

In the evening, you can enjoy Balloon Glow and get a look at all the amazing air balloons as they light up the sky.

Since it's a Fourth of July celebration, you also can't miss the fireworks.

This incredible festival is an experience you can't get anywhere else. Come out this summer for a high-flying celebration you'll never forget.
