Situated just north of Springfield near the Sangamon River is a microbrewery that farms all its own beer ingredients. Rolling Meadows Brewery has been in business since 2011, and it's one of the most beautiful places to drink in the entire state.
Rolling Meadows sells five core beers and about seven specialty beers that are available at different times throughout the year. Unique flavors include strawberry basil, cherry, coffee, blueberry, blackberry, orange, and apple.
The tap room is open in the spring, summer, and fall, and the sample room is open on Saturdays between noon and 5 p.m. Try stouts, ales, I.P.A.s, lagers, and more.
