Richardson Corn Maze is the best place in Illinois for fall fun. The maze is the largest in the world at 28 acres with about 10 miles of paths. It is popular for group picnics, family outings, and dates.
Operating in September and October, Wednesday through Sunday, the farm is open at various times in the mornings or afternoons and closes at 10 or 11 p.m. Price for admission is $16 for adults and $13 for ages four through 12, while younger children are admitted free.
Most activities are included in the cost, including the main event. Guests enjoy games, observation bridges, and multiple labyrinths throughout. It is the most intricate maze and has a different design each year, often fitting pop culture or recent events. Check out these past designs:
Additional things to do at Richardson (most of which are included in the admission cost) include live pig races, a petting zoo, giant slides, a zip line, a pumpkin patch, wagon rides, a 50-foot observation tower, a carousel, as well as fresh apple cider donuts and other goodies.
