The coolest small town in Illinois is mostly unheard of because it's situated between two huge cities, Rockford and Chicago.
Sycamore is also home to the Midwest Museum of Natural History which showcases live animals and foliage native to North America. They also have over 100 mounted animals from around the world.

Sycamore also has the most idyllic place to get married. Chapel in the Pines, a private estate, features a seven-acre garden, a chapel, and banquet hall.
Don't forget to visit during the famous Sycamore Pumpkin Festival. One of the coolest events is the 10K Pumpkin Run where locals dress up and jog around downtown.
