Illinoisans Won’t Want To Miss The Christmas Lights Parade That’s Taken Place In Our State Capital Since 1949

The Holiday Lights Parade in Springfield, Illinois takes place each Christmas season and is fun for the whole family. Mark your calendar for this exceptional attraction. You’ll find glowing floats lighting up the night sky for a memorable evening that kids of all ages look forward to each and ever year. Taking place December 3, 2022, the Holiday Lights Parade will run through downtown Springfield beginning at 5:30 p.m. as locals line the streets.

This popular and historic Christmas lights parade first began in 1949 and has been going on consecutively since 1972.

This year, the route will begin on Jefferson Street before switching to 5th Street and then Monroe Street before going onto 6th Street and then onto Washington Street.
