IKEA isn’t the only store where you can spend a day shopping for treasures and then enjoy a tasty meal. There’s a fabulous antique store restaurant in Elkhart, Illinois that encourages you to sit down and have a meal after you’ve perused the inventory.

Horsefeathers in central Illinois is an iconic business that's been around since 2004. It is known for its unique antiques and vintage dining that are second to none.
Situated along Route 66 in an old brick bank building built in 1890, this old-fashioned antique store restaurant is unlike any attraction you've ever before visited. From the moment you walk inside, you'll be greeted by a quirky shop that's stocked with one-of-a-kind vintage items you'll want to decorate your whole home with.
Artwork, baskets, craft supplies, Amish jams and baked goods, lamps, cards, jewelry, antiques, and many other gifts abound. You'll also find Route 66 souvenirs and mementos. It's the perfect place to browse around on a weekend or lazy afternoon.
Within the shop is the Wild Hare Cafe. This antique store restaurant offers a few seating options when it comes to mealtime. The West Dining Room is cafe-style with a beautifully painted wall and mismatched furniture.
There is also community-style seating available. Enjoy lovely artwork, plant life, and vintage decor as you dine on your delicious meals.
Speaking of food, menu items are made from old family recipes using organic ingredients when possible. Dishes are made from scratch and include pasta, beef, and chicken dishes. The menu changes each week.
With slightly different hours than the antique shop, the kitchen is open Wednesday through Sunday between 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
There is even a sister shop next door called The Little Foxes that features products from local artists. Enjoy an old-world country store atmosphere as you shop old-fashioned kitchenware, tins, candies, butters, and more.
