Harriman State Park is home to several overnight options, from full-sized houses to primitive campsites. However, the yurts are an especially great option for those who want a little bit of comfort while still maintaining that rugged camping feel.
The two yurts that are available to rent are the Cygnet and Wyethia yurts. These canvas-walled yurts contain two bunk beds that sleep six, a wood-burning stove, a table and benches, and a propane stove and lantern. It's the bare essentials, but it's all you'll need.
The yurts cost between $75-$110 per night and they are the picture-perfect base camp for your park adventure. With Harriman's unending beauty right outside your door, you'll have instant access to some of eastern Idaho's most spectacular winter landscapes.
Winter activities are abundant at Harriman State Park. Home to over 24 miles of groomed Nordic skiing trails, plus plenty of trails for snowshoeing and fat biking, there's always a serene winter adventure to be had in this tranquil destination.
The park is also home to the historic Jones House which serves as a warming hut on weekends. It's a great spot to warm up and enjoy spectacular views of Henrys Fork and the winter wildlife. The park's warming facilities are closed for the 2020-2021 winter season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
