Spend the evening with family and friends, setting off water lanterns and enjoying the incredible atmosphere. Here’s what you need to know about this unique festival:
The Water Lantern Festival is making a return to Boise, Idaho this summer on August 21, 2021 at Julia Davis Park. This one-of-a-kind event welcomes one and all to come and make some cherished memories with loved ones!
The Water Lantern Festival is a unique experience that brings together thousands of family, friends, and strangers for one magical evening. It's held in cities across the country and it will be making a special stop in Boise very soon.
The highlight of this beautiful festival is the evening lantern launch. Your ticket comes with a floating lantern kit which you can customize to your liking. Add a message to a loved one, lyrics, or something straight from your heart and get ready to watch it float away.
Every lantern kit comes with a wristband for entry in the festival area, a floating lantern, an LED candle, a commemorative drawstring bag, and a marker. Tickets are currently on sale and you may want to grab yours soon since the price increases on the day of the festival.
Gates open at 6:00 p.m. on the day of the festival, so you'll have plenty of time to enjoy the food trucks, music, and fun before the lantern launch occurs. Local vendors and food trucks are encouraged to take part in this incredible event.
The Water Lantern Festival is committed to ensuring a sustainable event. Money earned from ticket sales covers the cost of collecting and removing the lanterns from the water following the event, along with any other trash that may have been created. They also recycle and reuse the LED candles that are used to illuminate the lanterns.
Highlighted by USA Today as one of the country's top festivals, the upcoming Boise Water Lantern Festival should be on your radar. Learn more about the event here and mark that you're going in the Facebook event.
