St. Joe NF Trail 17 Is A Gorgeous Forest Trail In Idaho That Will Take You To A Hidden Overlook
Have you been hunting for another great hiking trail to explore? This stunning forest trail has a lot to offer, including a hidden overlook that you’ll find is a great motivator for hiking. If you know how to handle hiking through active bear country and you’ll do anything for a stunning scene, this trail is easy and ready to guide you to natural beauty. Ready to hike up a mountain?
Today's adventure takes us out to St. Joe NF Trail 17, a decent-sized hike out in the forest with an overlook you can't ignore. If you love the beauty of Idaho, this is a trail you'll want to consider taking.
The 4.3-mile, out-and-back trail is rated easy, but as a warning, there is quite a bit of elevation gain. It's not too much trouble when you get down to it, but 1,000 feet of elevation gain is no small feat.
The path winds in and out of the forest, across a couple of bridges, and through the trees. It's a great spot for wildlife spotting, but make sure you're aware of how to hike in bear country.
Stay safe, and happy hiking! If you need something a tad bit easier and overall safer, check out the Eagle Pathways Trail for a good time on a paved path.
