Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic is a popular summer festival that's returning in 2021 for its 30th year. This year's festival promises to be bigger and better than ever, so you don't want to miss it!
The 30th Annual Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic is scheduled to begin September 1 and go through September 5. It will take place at its usual location in Boise's Ann Morrison Park.
Last year's event was canceled due to the pandemic, so we're more excited than ever to enjoy this iconic Boise event. More than 50 colorful balloons will take off during the festival!
The event will kick off with CapEd Credit Union Kid's Day, in which kids are invited to jump into the basket and experience what it's like to ride in a hot air balloon. Called a "tethered ride", the experience is safe and fun for kids of all ages.
One of the most memorable events of this year's festival will take place on Friday, September 3rd. A tribute launch dedicated to the memory of the festival's founder, Scott Spencer, will pay homage to the person who made this Boise tradition possible.
Friday is also when you can enjoy the incredibly popular Nite Glow Spectacular, in which the glow of hot air balloons will light up the evening. As always, live music, food, and festivities will be abundant!
We are officially counting down the days until we get to enjoy this popular hot air balloon festival. Learn more about this year's Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic and see the full lineup of events by visiting their website.
