Winter is coming and we couldn't be more excited! That's because along with snow, winter also brings endless fun in the form of recreational activities. Check out one of the state's most fantastic winter destinations and plan a visit to Snowhaven Ski & Tubing Area.
Located near Grangeville, Snowhaven is a little different from your typical ski resort. First off, the city-owned ski course is a lot smaller than popular destinations like Bogus Basin in Boise or Brundage near McCall. However, don't let its small size fool you.
Snowhaven is just what it sounds like—a haven for snow enthusiasts. The quaint park boasts amazing snow each and every winter season, making it a favorite among snowboarders and skiers alike. But that's not all this place has to offer...
They also boast a pretty epic snow tubing hill, featuring one of the longest runs in the state. Snow tubing is a great option for families since it requires no special experience and, let's be honest, it's an absolute blast.
At Snowhaven, tubers can fly down a massive 1,100-foot-long run while letting gravity do its thing. There's something endlessly thrilling about sitting in a tube and sliding down a mountain at top speeds like this, and it's bound to have you grinning from ear to ear.
Anybody who wishes to ride on the tubing hill must be over 4 years of age or at least 42-inches tall. Otherwise, this is the type of activity that will quickly become a favorite among you and your family. Tubing costs just $10 for an hour, $14 for two hours, or $20 for all day.
Snowhaven is typically open from the end of December through March, but of course it all depends on the weather. This ski area may not be the biggest, but it simply can't be beat when it comes to providing wholesome winter fun! Learn more about Snowhaven and their prices at their website
