The Owyhee Canyonlands In Idaho Are A Big Secluded Treasure

Idaho is the place to be if you’re the type of adventurer who hates crowds. Our population density is one of the lowest in the country (7th lowest, to be precise), and there are some destinations in our state where you could drive for miles without seeing a single soul. The Owyhee Canyonlands is one of those places. Situated in the rugged and remote southwestern corner of our state, this wilderness area is rich with canyons, rivers, and endless natural beauty. It’s the type of secluded landscape you’ll find yourself returning back to again and again for your next adventure, so check it out.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here:

Have you been to this secluded landscape in southern Idaho? Our state is full of super isolated landscapes like this one. Check out how Idaho’s remote River Of No Return inspired a show on Discovery Channel for another adventure destination!
