You Have To Sign A Waiver If You Want To Eat This Insane Seafood Dish In Idaho
A little Idaho restaurant just gained national recognition recently when it appeared on an episode of Travel Channel’s “Man v. Food”. The show’s host, Casey Webb, travels all over the country to participate in “food challenges” like the one featured here. The restaurant, Superb Sushi in Boise, hosts an infamous challenge called “The Demon’s Delight Challenge”. This insane seafood dish is so intense that the restaurant makes you sign a waiver before eating it. Only a handful of people have conquered the challenge. Would you try it?
Superb Sushi in downtown Boise gained some extra attention recently when it was featured on Travel Channel's "Man v. Food". Not only is the restaurant known for dishing up some seriously tasty sushi, but also for testing just how much of it you're willing to eat.
They actually have three different food challenges. The "La Bomba Challenge" is for serious sushi lovers only. The challenge is to devour four pounds of sushi in under one hour. However, this isn't the challenge that was featured on the show.
"The Demon's Delight Challenge" contains a masochistic dish which might be the spiciest sushi roll known to man. This challenge is no joke. You must sign a waiver beforehand acknowledging you are aware of the implications of ingesting such spicy food.
Just looking at the ingredients of the dish is enough to scare any of the most fanatic spice lovers. Along with the Demon's Delight roll, participants must consume a normal sized bowl of "Miso Soup from Hell" which contains wasabi, sriracha sauce, "Hot Streak" death sauce, cayenne pepper, "Demons Blood", and fresh habanero pepper.
If you finish both the soup, sushi roll, and the side of Death Sauce under ten minutes, the meal is free. Plus, you get everlasting fame with your picture on their wall and a free t-shirt. Oh, did we mention you're not allowed to drink anything during (or five minutes after) the challenge?
This may sound like a pretty unconquerable challenge, but it's possible. Of course, your stomach may not be too happy about it afterwards. "Man v. Food"'s Casey Webb completed the challenge in just 5 minutes and 45 seconds. He even devoured the soup in just 23 seconds.
