The 10-mile-wide Hells Canyon on Idaho’s western border is a mesmerizing natural wonder that photographs simply can’t do justice. As the deepest river gorge in North America, it should most definitely be considered a bucket list destination for any Idaho adventurer. There are obviously a ton of great ways to explore this massive canyon, but for a quick view that promises to knock your socks off, the Hells Canyon Overlook is a great option. You will have to dip across the Oregon border to visit this destination, but trust us—the view is worth it.
