The Boise Grilled Cheese and Beer Festival is a dream come true for cheese enthusiasts and you’ll want to be sure to snag tickets soon. Featuring dozens of different types of grilled cheese sandwiches and plenty of amazing craft beer to go with them, you’ll definitely have your work cut out for you when it comes to trying them all. Read on to learn all about what you can expect at this one-of-a-kind festival and how you can attend.
Prepare yourself. There's one seriously legen-dairy festival coming to town soon, and it's a must for any and all cheese lovers. The Boise Grilled Cheese and Beer Festival will take place on October 26 in Cecil D. Andrus Park and we couldn't be any more excited.
The festival itself may be more than two months away, but we are counting down the days in anticipation! There are few combinations that are better than cheese and beer, and this first-time festival will celebrate both of them.
Tickets went on sale earlier this month for the festival and attendance is expected to be high. There are two levels of tickets for sale: general admission and the "Big Cheese". Since the festival will feature beer, it is restricted to 21+ only.
A general admission ticket will get you both samples of beer and unlimited samples of grilled cheese sandwiches. The samples will be bite-sized, so that festival goers can save room for a little bit of everything—and trust us, you're going to need it.
The festival will feature up to 30 different local chefs, all of which will be serving up their own unique version of a classic grilled cheese sandwich. With so many cooks in the kitchen, you can expect a wide variety of sandwiches to choose from and there's bound to be something for everyone.
There are currently several restaurants and food trucks that have been announced for the festival. Among them are local Franz Bakery, B-Town Bistory, Zee's Rooftop Cafe, Bistro Babe, and CRISP. More chefs and restaurants will be announced in the weeks to come!
Additionally, you can make your experience the best it can be by purchasing the "Big Cheese" ticket. This includes access to a private lounge and open bar. There's simply no going wrong with however you choose to enjoy the festival. After all, it's grilled cheese and beer. What's better that that?
