This Charming Cider Mill In Idaho Will Have You Longing For Fall
Apple cider goes with Fall like lemonade goes with Summer. The two are just perfect together. It can be tricky finding delicious apple cider that you know is made with one thing and one thing only—apples. The only way to get some seriously good cider is to go straight to the source. Tyler’s Rocky Point Orchard has it all. It’s both a u-pick farm and cider mill, pressing their own cider which you buy right then and there.
Locals wait in anticipation every year for Tyler's apples to ripen so they can come and get the juiciest and most flavorful apples in Idaho. Tyler's Rocky Point Orchard is located in serene Emmett, Idaho and is currently open for its apple picking season.
This family operated orchard has been providing Idahoans with fresh fruits for more than two decades.
First and foremost they are a pick-your-own orchard, where for only $12 you can fill five gallon buckets up with any type of apple you can think of in any shape or size. Fuji, Red Delicious, Pink Ladies, Granny Smiths, and lots more!
Apples are usually available through October 31st, but their season may vary depending on the year.
Tyler's also presses their very own apples into delicious apple cider available for sale at the orchard.
There is no added sugar, preservatives, or flavors in Tyler's cider....just yummy, delicious apples. If you can't make it out to their orchard, they also have their cider for sale at local farmer's markets.
This cider might just be the best thing you've ever tasted. Buy it in bulk and freeze it to enjoy later!
There's something extremely satisfying about picking your own fruit. The apples just taste better this way! Tyler's is open to the public seven days a week from sunrise to sunset.
Bring your own ladder in order to reach the fruit at the very tops of the trees!
Tyler's also grows a lot of other delicious treats besides apples throughout the year including peaches, plums, cherries, blueberries, and a lot more!
There really isn't a more festive way of spending a beautiful Idaho Autumn day. Even better, this is an activity the whole family will enjoy. And just think of all the goodies you can make with the apples you pick. Homemade apple pie, anybody?
