Indiana is home to a handful, though our favorite one of all time is definitely the epic Indiana Beach Amusement Park. It's right on the water, and it features countless rides, including a roller coaster. The best part is that admission is affordable, too, so most folks can pay it a visit at some point. You've just GOT to add this one to your summer bucket list.

For example, the patch at Waterman's Family Farm, in Indianapolis, is perfect for a late afternoon mini-getaway for anyone hoping to get into the fall spirit. It holds an annual Fall Harvest Festival, too, complete with pumpkin patch, corn mazes, pumpkin-based goodies, and so much more. It's our favorite place to celebrate this transitional season.

Our favorite apple orchard for this time of year is definitely The Apple Works, which, on top of having one of the best orchards in the state, also offers some of the best pie there is. Get lost in the orchard and then bring a pie home to keep the delights coming.

It's a truly magical place, and you'll feel like you've stepped into a Hallmark holiday movie. There are countless Christmas-centric shenanigans to get yourself and the kids into, and we have no doubt you'll never want to leave. Every day is Christmas in Santa Claus, the jolliest place on earth.

Luckily for us winter-lovers, there's a special holiday train waiting for us to board before it takes us on a thrilling, chilly adventure through Indiana's beautiful winter landscapes. This festive train was built in 1956, and ever since, it's been a bastion of holiday cheer. You'll want to bring the kids for the Christmas Caboose Ride; it's a short, 35-minute adventure to the North Pole.
