Tucked away off-the-beaten-path on Hawaii Island in the tiny little town of Volcano Village — population 2,575 — is Ohelo Cafe. Perhaps one of the small town’s nicest restaurants, Ohelo Cafe is a haven for pizza lovers.
Utilizing fresh, local ingredients, patrons will enjoy a well-curated menu in addition to handmade cocktails, local craft beers on tap, and an extensive wine list.
Serving up food that can only be described as “Hawaiian-Italian,” Ohelo Cafe is well-known for its thin-crust, wood-fired pizzas. Choose one of their signature creations or create your own with any of the 19 toppings offered.
Of course, pizza isn’t the only thing you’ll find on this menu. From Caesar and house salads to shrimp scampi, baby back ribs, and fresh, locally-caught fish, there’s something for everyone here.
