The third largest island in Hawaii, and also the most populated, Oahu is home to approximately two-thirds of Hawaii’s population. And because of this, many people believe Oahu, known affectionately as “The Gathering Place” is entirely overrated – it’s too crowded, too busy, too developed, etc. But when you look beyond the scary commuting statistics, this lovely 600-square mile island is home to some of the most beautiful scenery in America, including pristine white sand beaches with waves crashing against the shore and towering emerald mountain peaks.

From the famous Pali Lookout and the little-known Kahana Bay to abandoned places, underwater vistas, and everything in between, this epic footage, shot by Youtube user TheBuffNerds, will show you Oahu like never seen before.
