This short and easy hike is only 1.7 miles, out and back.
It takes you right to the base of a beautiful waterfall. Even though you can’t swim at the bottom, the views alone are worth the trek.
The trail is well maintained and easy to follow.
It may get a little muddy during rain, so make sure you dress appropriately according to the weather. Be sure to wear closed- toe shoes if it’s wet out!
The entire trail is very steady, with only 633 feet of elevation gain throughout the entire thing.
You’ll carve a path through the rainforest and hike under the trees forming a canopy above you. It will feel like you’ve been transported to another world.
The short hike ends right at the waterfall and up a small staircase.
This area is famous and has appeared as movie locations for both Jurassic Park and Lost. It’s just another element of magic during this fairy tale hike!
The parking lot is easy to find and located at the end of Manoa Road.
There’s a small fee to park, so be sure to bring cash.
