This Vegan Restaurant In Georgia Is A Deliciously Awesome Place To Dine
The meatless movement has exploded in recent years. Many people seem to be cutting out meat, or at least partially doing so. For some, it’s to help the environment, others have concerns about animal welfare, and plenty of people just want to try to improve their health. Whatever the reason, more and more people are embracing vegetarian or vegan meals, even if they still sometimes consume meat. There are lots of great vegetarian and vegan restaurants in Georgia that have popped up, and one of the very best is Fox and Fig, in Savannah’s historic district. This place focuses on meat-free dishes, but the food is so tasty that even meat eaters can find something to love here.
You'll find Fox and Fig right in the heart of Savannah's historic district, right off Troup Square. Dine outside, or eat indoors.
The interior is a little small, but cozy and welcoming. It has a bit of a coffee shop feel, which is fitting. The restaurant's espresso bar serves up locally-brewed coffee from The Coffee Fox.
The menu is tiny, too, but don't let that dissuade you. Offerings change regularly depending on what's in season, but you really can't go wrong with any selection.
Cheesy dishes like chipotle macaroni and this cheese-topped roasted tomato basil soup aren't lacking here. Fox and Fig uses rich, creamy cashew cheeses that are equally appealing to vegans and meat eaters alike.
