You’ll Absolutely Love This Small Town Old-Fashioned Diner In Georgia
Everyone likes to splurge on occasion and enjoy a bit of luxury with an evening out fine dining in Georgia. But we’ve got to say when all is said and done, we really like the down-home style of a good old-fashioned small town family restaurant. You know the kind: you walk in and immediately feel like family, with home-cooked food that makes your mouth water and friendly service that gives the place a welcoming vibe you just can’t find in many places nowadays. If that sounds like your idea of a perfect restaurant, we’ve got just the spot for you: Downtown Eatery in Milner.
Milner is tucked away in Lamar County and has a population of just over 600. It's about an hour south of Atlanta and is the quintessential Peach State small town. Here, you'll find the tasty Milner Place Downtown Eatery right on Main Street.
This no-frills spot is small, but the intimate atmosphere contributes to the family-style ambiance. You'll feel right at home with the friendly service and home-cooked meals.
Milner Place is open for breakfast and lunch on weekdays, and occasionally has special dinner nights. The portions are large and you get your money's worth here, with plenty of hearty foods.
The restaurant's been open since summer 2017 and is a vital part of the community, with ties to local butchers and suppliers. In fact, everything here is bought locally. Nothing is trucked in from a mass supplier, and all of the food is prepared in-house, including shaping the patties and breading the tenders.
This is the type of delicious old-fashioned restaurant that seems to be going the way of the dodo bird, but we're glad to have such a great establishment in Milner!
