Tucked away in Georgia is one of the most unique homes in the entire state. Known as the Pasaquan, this visionary house is the creation of a fortune teller. The structure of this house is made almost entirely of brightly colored folk art, as was the advice of the three beings who came to the artist in a feverish dream. While this may sound like the plot of some bizarre movie, the story is entirely true and the proof can be seen today in Buena Vista. Here’s more on the Pasaquan:

The year was 1955. A man by the name Eddie Owens Martin came down with a horrible fever that left him in stupor-like dream where he was visited by three futuristic beings.

These beings advised him to return to his home state of Georgia and create an artistic compound that would represent togetherness and unity.

After this dream, Owens created the Pasaquan out of six buildings and seven acres of land.
