Hike To Ravens Cliff Falls, Then Reward Yourself With An Aerial Adventure In Helen, Georgia
If you’re looking for an activity-day filled of fun, there are plenty of great day trips in Georgia worth checking out. One of our favorites is a visit to the lovely town of Helen, which not only has a wonderful German-themed downtown area, but also plenty of beautiful natural scenery in the surrounding mountains. Take a hike up to the lovely Raven Cliff Falls, and then head on back for aerial fun with Cool River Adventures. You can find year-round entertainment here, with tubing in the warmer months and wall climbing, zip lining, and more available all year.
The Raven Cliffs Wilderness spans over 9,200 acres. This massive preserve is made up of mountains, hardwoods, and pines. Tons of wildlife call the area home and it's a stunning region, with plenty of waterfalls.

The hike to reach the wilderness area's eponymous falls is about 2.5 miles in length. It follows alongside a lovely little creek, so your hike is accompanied by the soundtrack of running water.
After checking out the falls, head on back to town for Cool River Adventures. This fun center is well-known for its tubing during the warm months, but the aerial adventure park is open year-round.
You'll also find several adventure courses that are great for kids and adults alike. These feature mini-ziplines, swinging stairs, rope bridges, and more.
