Ever feel like your surroundings are getting a bit stale? We get it, it’s easy for the everyday to become mundane, even when you live in a state as beautiful as ours. If you feel like you’re in need of a reminder of what a great state the Peach State is, we’ve got just the cure! This road trip to the most beautiful places in Georgia will have you falling in love with Georgia all over again.

This is a long road trip: after all, Georgia is a beautiful state! The entire driving time is just under five hours. You can check out the itinerary on Google Maps and remove or rearrange stops if you don't have enough time for the whole trip.
Rose Hill Cemetery 1840., Riverside Drive, Macon, GA, USA

We'll start our trip at one of the most scenic cemeteries in Georgia. Rose Hill Cemetery is a 50-acre historic cemetery in Macon. The third cemetery in Macon, it opened up in 1840. It's right on the banks of the Ocmulgee River and the views here are astoundingly gorgeous. It's such a peaceful place for an afternoon stroll.

Callaway Gardens is one of the best-known botanical gardens in Georgia, and it's huge. Events are hosted throughout the year celebrating the azalea blooms and other festivities. The gardens are also home to the Cecil B. Day Center, the largest butterfly house in Georgia.

The East Palisades Trail is a 4-mile trek that will take you right along the banks of the Chattahoochee River. The scenery is gorgeous, and you'll even get to see a beautiful bamboo forest! It's hard to believe this hike is just outside Atlanta.

Red Top Mountain State Park is one of the most underrated parks in the Peach State. It's home to the Homestead Trail, which will take you around Lake Allatoona, through gorgeous forests, and past the ruins of an old homestead.

Gibbs Gardens is one of the best places to visit in spring in Georgia. This 356-acre garden is a wonderland of blooms and color that shouldn't be missed!
We could’ve made a practically infinite road trip of beautiful places in Georgia and there are many that we were sad we couldn’t include due to time constraints (like Savannah and Cloudland Canyon).
