Downtown Eatonton offers free parking and there are a variety of shops and restaurants to check out.
One fascinating spot in Eatonton that has plenty of historical value is the Rock Hawk Effigy Mound. The hawk-shaped mound was built 1,000 to 3,000 years ago by the Woodland Indian tribe.
You'll find plenty of opportunities to hike all along the lake.
