Georgia is host to plenty of excellent hikes perfect for families with even small kids; if you’re always looking for the best hikes in Georgia but find yourself worried that the little ones can’t make it, why not check out some of the best kid-friendly hikes around Georgia? Some of those include the delightful Anna Ruby Falls Trail within Tray Mountain Wilderness. It’s not long – under one mile – and features an incredible waterfall neither you nor the kids will ever forget. It’s only open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week, though, so plan accordingly. Long Creek Falls, via the Appalachian Trail, is a wonderful kid-friendly stretch of one of the United States’ most amazing trails. That particular stretch is 1.9 miles long and features yet another amazing waterfall. It’s incredibly scenic and its popularity is for reasons that become obvious along the way. Then, be sure to check out the Sosebee Cove Scenic Trail at the Sosebee Cove Scenic Area; it features awe-inspiring mountain views and some truly lovely wildflowers. Finally, be sure to hike the Fort Mountain State Park Lake Trail at Fort Mountain State Park, which has an enormous lake and some of the best camping ever! Georgia and its trails are second to none for hiking and nature enthusiasts; it’s worth a long trip just to explore its trails.
