Georgia has a rapidly growing wine industry that is growing in size and notoriety. There are quite a few scenic vineyards all throughout the state, particularly in the northeast region. One of our favorites is Chateau Elan Winery in Braselton. Not only is this one of the best-known wineries in the state, but it’s also one of the best luxury resorts in Georgia. This place is gorgeous, and whether you’re stopping by just for a brief tour or decide to stay a few days, you’re in for a real treat.

Braselton is a midsize town about 50 miles outside of Atlanta. The area is mostly known for its many distribution centers, but its gently rolling hills make the perfect setting for a winery.

Chateau Elan Winery spans 3,500 acres, and the massive size is used to its full extent. The winery is obviously the main draw, but there's also a hotel, multiple golf courses, and eight restaurants.

Since its inception in 1981, the winery has grown immensely. It now produces wines of more than 30 different varieties.

All of the grapes are grown either at the Braselton location or one of the company's vineyards in South Georgia.
