In case you didn’t know, Georgia is awesome and we have the proof to back it up! We have some of the best collegiate football teams in the country, we make Coca-Cola, and we have warm weather most of the time! Here are 15 undeniable reasons everyone should love Georgia!

1.We are home to Coca-Cola, Chick-Fil-A & Home Depot
We make the greatest soda in the country and some of the best fried chicken too! Millions of people around the world drink Coke and Chick-Fil-A is a national favorite as well. Those alone warrants us bragging rights! On top of that we are also home to Home Depot and UPS, two other national household brands.
2. We have two of the best collegiate football teams in the country : UGA & Georgia Tech
We love our Georgia Tech and UGA football teams--and so does the rest of the country! While many a Georgia person is either a UGA or a Georgia Tech fan, we will gladly claim the bragging rights of being the home base for both teams.
3. Everyone loves our southern hospitality
Here in Georgia you can sit down with your neighbor and have a friendly chat or even have one with a stranger! I love the feeling of a community that living in a state like Georgia brings!
4. And our southern cuisine too!
You can't talk about Georgia without talking about the food! We make some of the best fried chicken, sweet tea, and pecan pie! This shot was taken at Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room in Savannah, Georgia.
5. But we know how to switch it up when it comes to food.
Atlanta is a foodie’s dream with international tastes. Restaurants here love to take a twist on traditional southern cuisines like organic, gluten free fried chicken at Chick-A-Biddy's in Atlantic Station or this smoked seafood platter at Lure in Midtown.
6. Georgia is absolutely breathtaking
As all of you know, Georgia is a beautiful state, and I could fill the rest of this article with pictures of its beauty. From our rolling plains, to our plentiful trees, Georgia is like a natural wonderland. This shot was taken on a summer day in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
7. It's a mini Hollywood here
Georgia is home to many, many film productions and television show productions. Some movies that have recently been shot in Georgia are The Hunger Games, Anchorman 2, and Selma.
8. We have Savannah
Sweet Savannah! Savannah is a popular tourist attraction that invites people from all over the country and the world. Visitors love the history and beauty of this charming Georgia city.
9. There's so much history
Georgia is full of American history! No matter where you live in Georgia, you can walk outside and see an artifact like this mural from the past. Georgia is home to many museums where visitors can get a glimpse into the past.
10. The warm weather
We love our warm weather here in Georgia! Getting out in the sun, going to a bbq, or planting a garden are all Georgia favorites when the weather gets warm. Other states are jealous that warm weather comes a bit earlier for us! Give us a pair of Old Navy flip flops and a baseball hat and we're happy as can be!
11. We host the Masters Tournament
Every year the infamous Masters is hosted in Augusta, Georgia. This major event draws thousands of visitors to Georgia every year.
12. We produce the most peaches in the country
Our long tradition of growing peaches has lasted over 100 years. Every time someone bites into a peach they should thank Georgia, as more than likely we were responsible for growing it! We produce about 40,000 tons of peaches per year!
13. Housing is affordable
When folks from up north or out west move to Georgia they are simply in shock once they realize how much more bang for their buck they can get when purchasing a home. The average home value in Georgia is about 130K compared to about 188K nationally.
14. There's always something to do!
We have so many parks, museums, amusement centers, and other attractions that the possibilities for fun are endless! There are also a host of things for families to do free of cost, especially in the spring and summer when we host some of our many festivals.
15. You can get a big little city feel in our major cities.
You get the job opportunities and culture of a big city while still getting the southern hospitality and community of a small town. I love feeling like I'm in a big little city when I visit our major Georgia cities of Atlanta, Savannah, and Augusta.
