The 3rd St. Market Hall is located in spot that was once a top shopping destination in the city – the Grand Avenue Mall. The mall opened in 1982, in the golden era of the shopping mall. It once was home to 80 stores.
The building underwent a major redevelopment to create 3rd St. Market Hall. Much of the project involved stripping out the old mall’s features like pastel walls and bulky elevators.
The building is now much more open with exposed metal features. Some delicious smells now waft through the air.
The hall has more than a dozen little restaurants, and they offer many tempting options.
Feeling like something spicy that’s made fresh right on spot? Head to Kompali Tacos Y Tortas. Or enjoy some wings with Jamaican jerk at Wingman.
Anytime, Arepa will take you on a trip to South America, or enjoy flavors of Japan at Kawa Sushi and Kawa Ramen. Hot Dish Pantry is the place for a great pierogi and you can taste a bit of the East Coast and American South at Dawg City. Hungry for flavors closer to home? You can find that that too, at Dairyland, an awesome frozen custard spot.
The 3rd St. Market Hall is open daily. See the latest hours and food options on the 3rd St. Market Hall website. Milwaukee is one of the world's great food cities. Here are some of the city’s most iconic foods.
