Utah has just about every kind of restaurant you could ever want, but our remote little towns are home to little gems that we often overlook. Here's a diner that's way out in the middle of nowhere, but it has some of the best food ever.
The tiny town of Mexican Hat is about as remote as you can get in Utah. It's located in the far southeastern corner of the state, near the four corners area.
Cross the bridge over the San Juan River to find a little hidden gem.
Follow the sign to the San Juan Inn...
...where you'll find the Olde Bridge Grille. Part of the inn, it offers a menu full of delicious comfort food.
This cozy diner has a western theme, and it's got tons of seating, a pool table, and a bar. If you're looking for a cold beer, glass of wine, or cocktail, you'll find that this is the only restaurant with a liquor license within 100 miles.
You'll have great views of the San Juan River right from your table.
The Navajo fry bread is the star of the show at this little diner. Enjoy the Navajo Burger, which is served on this fluffy bread...
...or get the Navajo taco. The Olde Bridge Grille's version of this tasty taco is one of the best in the state.
The Navajo Cowboy Beef Sandwich is another delicious choice - cold roast beef, cheese, lettuce and tomato, served on Navajo fry bread.
You'll also find lots of other tasty options on the menu, like this Mad Hatter sandwich, piled high with meats, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes.
Visit the Olde Bridge Grille for a tasty meal, cold drink, game of pool, or all three! It's open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m..
