Get out that calendar, PA! In just a few weeks, an epic two-day Italian festival in Pennsylvania will celebrate everything Italian - from the delicious food to its lighthearted games. And, you'll definitely want to plan a visit, either one day or both days, to the festival that's jam-packed with food, activities, and live entertainment.
Celebrate your Italian heritage - or become an honorary Italian family member for the weekend - at the South 9th Street Italian Market Festival in Philadelphia.
Set for May 18 and 19, 2019, the annual Italian festival will be held each day from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Of course, you'll find plenty to do - and to eat - at the popular festival. Browse the many food and artisan vendors, selling everything from pizza and cheese to coasters and jewelry.
But, that's just the beginning of a full menu of weekend activities. Join other festival goers for the Traditional St. Paul Procession of Saints, planned for...
Sunday, May 19, from 11 a.m. to noon. The procession will make its way from Saint Mary Magdalen de Pazzi Church to St. Paul Catholic Church, with a stop to bless the market.
And, get your competitive juices flowing by competing in the grease pole competition or the half ball tournament.
Visit the Get Fit Zone for a quick workout. Or, take the kids to B101 Kids Zone.
The festival will also feature free performances by The Strictly 60s Band, Bob Pantano, and Mark Casasanto, among others.
Address: 919 South 9th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147
