The Land of Enchantment is home to plenty of nostalgic eateries. From mom-and-pop restaurants to quirky diners along Route 66, you can take a step back in time at any point. If you haven't yet been to Hurricane's Cafe, an old-school eatery in Albuquerque, New Mexico, you have to try it. Best of all, they have curly fries, and that's something you can't find in too many places.
On the site of the former 1950s cruising diner named Frank's, Hurricane's Cafe in Albuquerque first opened in 1987. This old-school eatery still has car-hops or you can choose to dine inside.
If you choose table service indoors, you'll feel as though you've entered a different era. It's one of the best parts about dining at Hurricane's Cafe!
And another great part of this place? The food of course! The service is pretty stellar as well.
Hurricane's Cafe serves both Mexican and American cuisine. It's best-known for its Disaster Burrito, a massive burrito filled with beef, bacon, and eggs and topped with fried potatoes, red and green chili, lettuce, tomato, and cheese. Delicious!
How does a juicy burger sound to you? For a side, you'll have your choice of tater tots (called "tater gems" here), coleslaw, cottage cheese, fruit, or French fries.
The fries here aren't just any ol' fries...they are curly fries. If you've ever had them when you were a child, you know how nostalgic they are. And it's so exciting to find an eatery that serves them!
