This Old-Fashioned Ice Cream Parlor In New Jersey Serves The Most Scrumptious Sundaes

Holsten’s in New Jersey is a beloved ice cream shop known for its sundaes, homemade candy, and a feature on the final episode of The Sopranos.

First things first...you can get scrumptious sundaes all over the state. New Jersey is home to a plethora of old-fashioned ice cream shops (Clyde's, Conrad's, Applegate Farms, Cliff's, Curly's, Jersey Freeze, Hoffman's, White Dotte, Duffer's...I could go on and on) but today it's all about Holsten's. You may have heard about it...

Because they were featured on the final episode of The Sopranos.

Even though that's kind of a big deal (see James Gandolfini's son sitting at the Sopranos' booth), that's not all they're known for.

A local favorite for over 75 years, they have a mouthwatering menu with burgers, breakfast, fries, grilled goodies, and more.

They also have amazing homemade candy! You'll find a sizable selection but the butter crunch and peanut brittle are favorites.

But the ice cream has to be the star of the show. You're going to love their sundaes.

Choose from ice cream flavors including maple walnut, black raspberry, and chocolate chocolate chip. Toppings include hot fudge, hot caramel, coffee syrup, and many others. Finish it off with homemade whipped cream and a cherry.

And you can enjoy any of their desserts a la mode. Try the apple pie or pound cake.

You're sure to have a good old-fashioned (and absolutely yummy) time here! You can find Holsten's at 1063 Broad Street, Bloomfield.
