Do I write about pizza often? Yes, yes I do. Why? Because I come from a state with amazing pizza and plenty of options to choose from. I feel like I wouldn't be doing New Jersey justice if I only featured a handful of what we have to offer. There are some spots almost every local has heard of, from Star Tavern in Orange to Papa's Tomato Pies in Robbinsville, but some pizzerias have yet to be discovered by the masses. Brother Bruno's Pizza is located in the tiniest of strip malls, adjacent to Brother's Bagels and a beauty salon.
They make a great plain pie - deliciously cheesy with a crispy crust.
But they also take pizza to the next level with creative toppings like mozzarella sticks and bacon mac n' cheese.
Toppings not enough for you? They also offer stuffed pizza, overflowing with chicken, cheese, french fries, macaroni and more.
And just when you think all of your dining dreams have come true...
You discover they have equally epic calzones, steak subs and specialty sandwiches.
Oh, there's more. There's always more...
Dessert pizza!
Dessert pizzas come in both regular and stuffed varieties in flavors like Nutella, s'mores, red velvet and birthday cake.
While they call themselves "cheat meal headquarters," (and it's easy to see why) they also offer healthy options like whole wheat pies and veggie wraps.
Don't live nearby? Don't despair!
They ship several of their (standard, not stuffed) dessert pies nationally, in 24 hours or less.
Located at 200 Hamburg Turnpike in Wayne, your taste buds are waiting. Open since 1976, they're Wayne's oldest family owned and operated pizzeria.
