Our state is full of cafes that make a mean latte, brew a perfect pot, and serve some scrumptious pastries and snacks. Start your day with a drink from one of these coffee shops in Montana and test out their coffee-making skills.
1. Off the Leaf Coffee Bar, Billings
Off the Leaf is a great place to go to study or chat with a friend over a piping hot coffee or a chilled cold brew. The company even has a mobile coffee bar available to rent for events.
2. The Coffee Pot Bakery Cafe, Bozeman
When you go to The Coffee Pot, you'll need a coffee to wash down the delicious cinnamon rolls. They're so good, they've been mentioned in Paula Deen's magazine.
3. Montana Coffee Traders, Whitefish, Kalispell and Columbia Falls
Montana Coffee Traders has three locations, and each of them has an excellent reputation. This business started out serving coffee out of an old farmhouse in Whitefish in 1981. You can also visit their roastery on Highway 93 in Whitefish.
4. Fire Tower Coffee House, Helena
Fire Tower Coffee House serves Fair Trade coffee sourced from all over the world. You can also have specialty drinks, breakfast, or lunch here.
5. The Rising Trout Cafe & Bookstore, Lewistown
This place has the right idea. Coffee and books make a perfect combination!
6. Press Coffeehouse, Glendive
Press is located in Glendive's historic greenhouse, giving it a unique ambiance. They also serve excellent coffee and according to one TripAdvisor reviewer, "the best bagel this side of Jersey."
7. Sweetwater Coffee, Dillon
This charming, inviting coffeehouse serves a variety of sweet and savory breakfast pastries along with their tasty drinks.
8. Five Loaves Coffeehouse & Bakery, Great Falls
Five Loaves has two Great Falls locations, both of them serving their amazing coffee and baked goods.
9. Spotted Horse Coffee, Belgrade
This place has it all: the coffee, food, and ambiance are all wonderful. Go in for a morning cup of joe and stay for a mouth watering lunch.
10. Loose Caboose, Missoula
There are five Loose Caboose coffee stands in Missoula. The good news is, you can't miss them. The better news is, you won't want to miss them.
11. Big Creek Coffee Roasters, Hamilton
This unique coffee shop has a roaster right in the front, blanketing the building and the street with the aroma of delicious coffee. Needless to say, it's a fun place to hang out.
