With all there is to do outside in Montana, it's certainly easy to build up an appetite. Luckily, there are plenty of options for great food across the state. Whether you love the upscale options for special occasions or the more casual spots offering easy and quick food, there's something for just about everyone. What we especially love are the options offering something unique, or an unexpected twist. This diner, for instance, is actually known for its burgers!
Roadhouse Diner in Great Falls offers a quintessential Montana experience with great food, casual vibes, and a rustic feel.
Jane and Jason Beam opened the doors to Roadhouse in 2015 and have since become a local (and national!) household name. They competed in Guy’s Grocery Games on the Food Network, taking home the top prize.
They've also been featured in a variety of national media outlets.
Offering some of the best burgers in Montana, the diner's popularity is well-earned.
The menu is packed with unique burgers, such as Death by Bacon. This monstrosity offers McCafferty Ranch beef and four slices of bacon. It also has plenty of grilled onions, provolone, and Roadhouse's homemade bacon jam.
Or, branch out to something beyond burgers and try the Dixie Chicken. It comes with juicy, deep-fried chicken and the restaurant's own Southern hot sauce.
There are also plenty of specials offered each week.
If burgers aren't on your bucket list, check out something like the Trailer Trash Fries. It normally comes with a juicy burger patty on top, but if you're lucky you might have the chance to order their chicken patty instead.
After all of these options, take a breather, then be sure to order dessert!
Roadhouse Diner is open throughout the year, but be sure to check out the Roadhouse Diner website for the most updated hours. That's also a great place to check out the menu and plan your meal in advance. You can also follow them on Facebook. Roadhouse can be reached at 406-788-8839.
