This amazing Art Deco police station was constructed in 1937 in the historic Soulard neighborhood of St. Louis.
Artist and former police officer. Ron Buechele opened Capitalist Pig in 2012. Inside you can grab a table in the hall of the jail or you can dine in a bit more adventurous setting.
The few cells in the old jail have been re-purposed into larger dining spaces. Take your meal behind bars
— it's an experience you won't soon forget!
They offer a full bar which makes the Capitalist Pig a great place to grab a meal before a fun night on the town. On Sundays, they offer a special barbecue brunch. You'll want to try their Bloody Mary!
However, the real deal is their slow smoked barbecue! They also make all their own sauces, of which there are many to choose from.
