How many of these awesome restaurants have you explored? For sure, there are some restaurants in the city that everyone knows about….and then there are some hidden gems that have a loyal following but aren’t necessarily first on everyone’s list. Here are some of the hidden restaurants you may not have even realized existed in New Orleans!
1) Chiba, 8312 Oak ST.
Chiba has been around for a while, but with all the hustle and bustle on Oak St., it may be easy to miss. What really makes this place stand out is the attentive way each sushi roll is made here. They really have some creative rolls here.
2) Banh Mi Boys, 5001 Airline Dr.
You are going to love this spot in Metairie. In some Vietnamese places, the Banh Mi is an afterthought, but here it takes center stage. This bulgogi beef sandwich is heavenly.
3) Broad and Banks Seafood, 342 S. Broad St.
You have probably passed this place hundreds of times but never gave it a second thought. Well you should! There is always a long line for their delicious hot plates, including kebabs, grilled fish, and so much more.

5) El Pavo Real, 4401 S. Broad St.
There's a good chance you've never had Mexican quite like this in New Orleans. The chefs here really take time to make sure all of the flavors from Mexico are lovingly prepared here. The mole sauce is probably the best I've had in all of New Orleans!
6) Jamila’s, 7808 Maple St.
Hands down, the owner of this place, pictured here, is one of the most friendly and welcoming characters you'll ever meet in New Orleans. Luckily, the food here is just as delicious as well. The lamb tagine, pictured here, is perfectly seasoned.
7) Mais Arepas, 1200 Carondelet ST.
Take a little walk off from St. Charles and you will enjoy a unique cuisine in a great atmosphere. They offer a variety of South American cuisine that you will certainly love.
