The Tammany Trace is one of the most unique trails in Louisiana. Clocking in at over 30 miles, the Trace is Louisiana's longest rail-trail, weaving through five different towns in St. Tammany Parish. After all that hiking, you're bound to work up an appetite, and luckily, there's one fabulous restaurant located right along the trail that's the perfect spot to fuel up. Let's check it out.
After an afternoon of tackling the Tammany Trace, there's one place that's become a popular spot to relax and enjoy a tasty meal, and that's Old Rail Brewing Company.
Located in Old Mandeville just across from the Mandeville Trailhead, Old Rail is an easily accessible restaurant to swing by while you make your way along the trail.
With both indoor and outdoor seating options, Old Rail's industrial atmosphere still feels casual and comfortable. Come as you are and get ready to chow down.
Just be sure to come hungry...
...because the menu is massive and covers just about everything you could think of.
How about a smoked BBQ po'boy to electrify your tastebuds? Yum!
Of course, a trip to Old Rail isn't complete without sipping on at least one of their craft beers.
With 13 taps and an always-changing inventory, Old Rail's craft beers will surely satisfy any beer lover. You might just find a new favorite!
After you've fueled up, you can continue on the trail, full of delicious food (and maybe a beer or two) and ready to tackle the rest of the trail.
