Most of the time, we go to gas stations to fill up our cars. But if you're in the small city of Mableton, you can also fill up your stomach. Some of the best BBQ in Georgia is hidden away inside a Shell station. TDT BBQ is little more than a counter inside of a gas station, but it's delicious! This spot serves up BBQ, all the country sides you know and love, and even has a wide variety of vegan selections. You might be tempted to skip over a restaurant that's in a gas station, but you'd be making a mistake in this case!
This Shell station in an Atlanta suburb may look like any other regular old gas station, but inside of it is BBQ as tasty as any you'd find in a free-standing restaurant.
The inside is quite simple. You'll find a small red counter with one side for ordering and the other for pick-up. The specials change daily and the menu is a rotating selection of Southern-made goodness.
Surprisingly, you'll even find some vegan selections here.
You never know what kind of meat will be on the menu here! Lamb, beef brisket, salmon, chicken: the rotating selection means you get a new experience with each visit.
Whatever is on the menu is sure to be seasoned to perfection and fall-off-the-bone tender.
The food here smells so good that it often draws in hikers from the nearby Silver Comet Trail.
Have you ever seen a loaded baked potato like this? It's topped with salmon, shrimp, broccoli, and Cajun sauce. Yum!
Don't be fooled by the humble exterior: this is truly some of the best BBQ in Georgia!
