This family-owned spot has been open since 1990. It's run by two generations of the Paindiris family, who previously owned the Concord Luncheonette.
The Concord Luncheonette opened up in the 1960s and ran for several decades.
Effie's Place is as simple and homey as the name implies. It really feels like you're just stopping by a friend's house for a get-together.
The outdoor dining area is great for warm-weather days, but there's plenty of booths and tables inside.
You'll find lunch and dinner options here, mostly Greek and American staples, but it's also got some of the best all-day breakfast in Connecticut.
