Back-to-school season is in full swing, and nothing beats a classic PB&J to send the kids off to class with. Pay a visit to The Honey Stand, a charming little roadside market on Highway 87 before summer is over and stock up on some of Arizona's freshest jams, jellies, honey, and other homemade treats.

This unassuming roadside stop boasts a wider selection of jams, spreads, dressings, and - of course - honey, than anywhere else in Arizona.

You'll find 26 varieties of honey that encompass every color, flavor, and grade imaginable.

Jars range in size from six ounces to an entire quart, so get several small ones for sampling or take home a massive supply of your favorite (or both!)

Over two dozen different types of jelly range from classics like peach and blackberry to more unique concoctions like prickly pear and cactus.

There are also several sugar-free varieties for those with dietary restrictions.

Out West General Store in Waddell offers a wide variety of goods and a hidden gem eatery called Cowboy Café.

Out West General Store is way out in the West Valley in a little town known as Waddell. This mom-and-pop shop has been nothing short of a labor of love since its inception almost two decades ago. In fact, it totally embraces that "out west" locale in its name. It's been serving up a little bit of just about everything since at least 2005, including some delicious food in its cafe. Check it out and see why this Waddell general store might be our favorite!

Seriously, though, when we say Out West General Store has a little bit of everything, we mean it.

Need a cowboy hat? Out West got you. Need cards? Yep. Basic day-to-day staples? Definitely. Shoes? Wallets? Bandanas? Clothing? Hoodies? Check-check-check. Tack and feed? You betcha. Farrier supplies? Duh.

This cute little restaurant called the Cowboy Café is located within the general store in Waddell, AZ, and is a true hidden gem, perfect for a no-frills solo outing for some me-time or a fun day out with the family.

...the pizza is always fresh and hot, with melty cheese that stretches across the table as you grab your slice. Other menu items include hot dogs, chili dogs, and fry bread. Enjoy pretzels, shaved ice, tacos, and SO much more.

Oh, and the sandwiches are excellent, too.

Made fresh and delicious, Out West General Store might become a new favorite place for a quick bite. The menu is much larger than you might expect, and you can't miss the ice cream at the end, so be sure to leave room!
